“I’ll never forget this moment.”

As parents we swear up and down there’s no way we will forget special moments with our children, the funny things they say, the priceless looks, and their pure innocence.  But we do.  I am the luckiest mother of three most imperfectly perfect gifts.  I remember confidently thinking there’s no WAY I could forget this.  And this.  And this.  But as I try to remember what my 4 year old was like when he was 6 months old, it’s hard to admit, but the memories fade.  As a working mother, I often find myself conflicted to find the perfect balance in my life.  The one thing that’s absolutely, unequivocally true is my love for my family.

This is my life.  The nuts and bolts, and the highs and lows.  One thing is certain, no matter what the circumstances.

I don’t ever want to forget this story.

i think you should write about yesterday’s tantrum and throwing a shoe at the door… cause it’s so funny now!

I agree, and yet the days blur until suddenly I have a nine year old and an almost six year old and a baby who is a fully-fledged toddler and it’s going too fast and some days not fast enough…
